GOOD NIGHT, SLEEP TIGHT, 2009

Wax, wood, string and fabric;
Dimensions may vary, each box is 60cm wide

This started with the sentence Good night,
sleep tight, and don’t let the bugs bite.

This saying always sounded strange to me. If
you sleep tight, has death come and you
will never wake up?
Here in this triptych each case contains parts
of the body on a pillow. The red evokes the
idea of a violent death, which is complemented
by the severed body parts. However the whole
effect is peaceful and soft.
